Angela Zhang was born in Taiwan, but moved to Canada at the tender age of 12. Loving to sing as a child, she took part in many competitions, and eventually received her breakthrough when she won an international Chinese singing competition in Taiwan, representing Vancouver. She was talent spotted by a Taiwanese music producer, signed a contract and was trained to become a future superstar back in Taiwan. However, Angela didn't embark on her showbiz career in singing despite her talent. She started acting instead, and made her debut in "MVP Valentine" in 2002. The drama was a hit, therefore making Angela one of the rising stars in Taiwan. Angela then continued acting, and made her next hit with "At the Dophin Bay", where she sang one of the theme songs, "Journey", and this is when her singing talent was revealed to her fans and everyone else. Thereafter, Angela Zhang has been pursuing a singing career along with her acting career, and has been a success at both.
